Grant M. Gille

Grant M. Gille serves on CFNJ’s Board of Trustees and its Leadership Committee, and is Co-Chair of its Scholarship Committee.

Mr. Gille is a partner in the law firm, Ferguson and Gille, in Montclair, and originally held a clerkship with Judge Theodore Dalton, Southern Virginia Federal District Court.

He served as Mayor of Montclair from 1976-1980, Chair of the Montclair Board of School Estimate, member of the Montclair Planning Board and Montclair Public Library Board.

His numerous nonprofit leadership positions include serving as Board member and Treasurer of the National Easter Seal Society, Chair of the N. J. Easter Seals, Leadership Chair of the N. J. Region of The Campaign for Yale in the 1970’s and 19 years on the Yale Divinity School Advisory Board. More locally, he served as President of the United Way of North Essex, President of the Montclair Chamber of Commerce, Chair of the Montclair Economic Development Council, Campaign Chair for the Montclair Red Cross, and over 30 boards in fields of housing, mental health, the elderly, social services and the Episcopal church in the Montclair and Monmouth County areas.

Mr. Gille received his Bachelor of Arts from Yale University and Juris Doctor from Washington and Lee University School of Law.
