Do Good for Where You Do Well

Monmouth County is an area identified by its position on the Jersey Shore and its location within commuting distance from New York City. Its geography of flat and low-lying areas knits its fifty-three municipalities together in a manner that defines one community, many opportunities, and common issues and challenges.

The Monmouth County Community Foundation was designed especially for the families, businesses, and foundations wishing to make an enduring difference in this county. As an affiliate of the Community Foundation of New Jersey, funds that charitable families and businesses establish with us will enable them to make tangible, beneficial changes in an area close to their hearts.

Our Purpose

Most community-focused areas across America have their very own Community Foundation. And for very good reason. Citizens concerned with the specific needs of a community can ensure that real, solid, particular change is enacted for whom and where it matters most.

Monmouth Legacy Fund Grants

Families who contribute to or establish Legacy Funds can specify an issue, cause or hometown that they would like to have their charitable legacy impact. The Community Foundation can then respond quickly to ever-changing community needs through grants designed around the spirit of the donor’s wishes.

Recent Monmouth County grants include:

  • Big Brothers Big Sisters of Monmouth & Middlesex Counties – to support the youth mentoring afterschool program in Red Bank Middle School and Freehold Intermediate School.
