The Sierra House Transitional Program is a structured two-year program for homeless young women and young mothers who are victims of abuse, neglect or aging out of the foster care system. Sierra House teaches and prepares them to live independently within the community at large.

Deirdre’s House
Deirdre’s House is the Center in Morris County for child victims of abuse and/or neglect and children who have witnessed domestic violence. Deirdre’s House provides comprehensive services to child victims in both English and Spanish — all under one roof.
Community Hope and Hope for Veterans®
Community Hope is the largest charity serving homeless and disabled veterans in New Jersey and veteran families at risk of homelessness. Community Hope also provides housing and support services to young adults and individuals in recovery from mental illness.
Eden Autism Services
Eden Autism Services provides early intervention, education, employment training and residential services for children and adults with autism. Eden offers both in-person and online support and training programs for families and professionals. With headquarters in Princeton, Eden’s services extend throughout the United States.
New City Kids
New City Kids serves children and teenagers in an under-resourced Jersey City neighborhood through an After School Center and Teen Life Internship Program. Students are exposed to a “college bound culture” as they develop performing arts skills, leadership experience, and academic excellence.

miraclefeet was created to treat children born with clubfoot in developing countries and operates clinics in Mexico, Brazil, India and Nicaragua. miraclefeet is able to transform the lives of children affected by clubfoot by providing a very effective, non-surgical treatment, allowing them to walk, run and live healthy, productive lives.

The ACLU-NJ works tirelessly to defend liberty throughout New Jersey. Especially when people feel most powerless and vulnerable, the ACLU-NJ is welcomed as a strong and principled friend and defender of the rights of everyday people.
Interfaith Food Pantry
The Interfaith Food Pantry provides emergency and supplemental groceries and food as well as nutrition education and referral services to Morris County residents in need. The pantry also provides hands-on opportunities for neighbors to help neighbors, and works to educate the public about the issue of local hunger.
The Crisis Ministry of Princeton and Trenton
With broad community support, the Crisis Ministry serves some 1,400 clients each month across Mercer County, through its Hunger Prevention program, its Homelessness Prevention program, and its Harvesting Hope workforce development program.
The Lake Drive Foundation
The Lake Drive Foundation supports The Lake Drive School for Children Who are Deaf and Hard of Hearing, serving children from birth to high school graduation from throughout northern and central New Jersey. Support is especially critical for Lake Drive’s Sound Start Program to help deaf infants and toddlers learn to hear and speak.

The Children’s Chorus at Morristown Neighborhood House is in its third year of providing high-quality music education and performance opportunities to children in grades 2 – 5 in the after-school programs at Neighborhood House.

Scholarship Fund for Inner-City Children
SFIC provides children in need with the opportunity for a quality, values-based education in a safe environment. The Fund provides partial tuition scholarships to economically disadvantaged children attending private and parochial schools within Bergen, Essex, Hudson and Union Counties. Scholarship awards are based upon need without regard to race, religion or ethnicity.
Visiting Nurse Association of Northern New Jersey
Visiting Nurse Association of Northern New Jersey delivers home health and hospice services to residents of Morris County and neighboring communities who want to return home safely following hospitalization or need a helping hand to remain in the comfort of home due to an illness, disability or advanced age.
New Jersey After 3
NJ After 3 is dedicated to expanding afterschool opportunities for all children throughout New Jersey by offering programs to youth at their own schools.
Greater Newark Youth Orchestras
The NJSO’s Greater Newark Youth Orchestras give all qualified middle- and high-school students — especially minority youth — the opportunity to study weekly with NJSO musicians and gain performance experience in an encouraging and motivating environment.
Bridges
Bridges is an outreach program for the homeless based in Summit. Volunteers deliver food and necessities to homeless in New York City, Newark and Irvington, NJ, with compassion and respect.
Write on Sports
Through summer camps and after-school programs, Write on Sports helps middle school youth use their interest in sports to gain the writing skills they need to succeed in school and in their future careers.
Afghan Girls Financial Assistance Fund
The Afghan Girls Financial Assistance Fund helps young Afghan women who have been denied an education in their own country with receiving a college or high school education in the U.S.
North Star Academy
The mission of North Star Academy Charter School is to prepare each student for college through a rigorous college prep program that begins in kindergarten. The school has received national recognition for its standards of excellence.
Caring Capital
Knowing the recession would wreak havoc on local families at risk, Jumpstart Fund founder, Susie Schub, launched Caring Capital in 2009 to expand the corps of helpful volunteers. Through philanthropic workshops, 6,500 volunteers have made gifts for 5,000 needy neighbors.
Homeless Solutions (HSI)
Homeless Solutions Inc. (HSI) was founded in 1983 to offer shelter, services, and supportive housing to homeless and low-income people. HSI is building the first LEED Platinum affordable housing project in New Jersey.

Grow It Green Morristown empowers residents in the Morristown community to be advocates of sustainability through capital improvement projects, education, and legislative advocacy.
Citizen Schools
Citizen Schools mobilizes volunteers from all walks of life to teach what they know and love. These Citizen Teachers lead 10-week-long hands-on apprenticeships for inner-city middle-school students, equipping them to excel in the 21st century classroom and workplace.
America’s Grow a Row
America’s Grow-a-Row (AGAR) is an organization based in Hunterdon County that grows and gleans fresh, healthy produce that is then donated to food pantries, soup kitchens, crisis centers, and food banks all over the state of New Jersey.
Neighborhood House of Morristown
Neighborhood House has been a constant provider of services for the infants, preschoolers, children, youth and adults of Morristown for over 110 years. Activities include summer camps, help for recent immigrants, childcare, pre-schools, a career center, youth development, recreation, after-school programs and much more.
The Community Soup Kitchen and Outreach Center of Morristown
The Community Soup Kitchen accomplishes its mission of “caring, connecting, and changing lives” by providing nutritious meals at noontime every day of the year for hundreds of guests, and by offering access to healthcare, community resources, and educational programs.
Literacy Volunteers of Morris County
The Literacy Volunteers Group in Morristown helps over 500 students with learning to read, write and converse in English by providing free, individualized tutoring. Volunteers tutor an ever-increasing number of students in Basic Literacy and English as Second Language to help them achieve their goals and dreams.
Table to Table of Englewood Cliffs
Table to Table is a community-based food rescue program that collects prepared and perishable food that would otherwise be wasted and delivers it to organizations that serve the hungry in Bergen, Hudson, Essex and Passaic counties. It is the first and only food rescue program in Northeast New Jersey solely dedicated to redistributing “fast, fresh and free” food to the hungry.
