Jersey Battered Women’s Service

Founded in 1976, JBWS celebrates more than 40 years of offering hope and safety to victims of domestic violence and their families. Our mission is the prevention of domestic violence through the protection and empowerment of the victim, the rehabilitation of family members, and the education of the public about domestic violence and its consequences.

Services include a 24-hour helpline, safe house, transitional living, counseling, children’s services, batterers’ intervention, vocational counseling and more. The newest initiative is the 2016 opening of the Morris Family Justice Center, a coordinated, one-stop resource provided by multiple service agencies and led by JBWS.

JBWS is a private, nonprofit, tax-exempt agency based in Morris County, NJ. To learn more about how your dollars are used to fulfill JBWS’ critical mission, visit www.jbws.org or call Patty Sly, Executive Director at 973-267-7520 Ext. 120. 24-Hour Help Line: 973-267-4763.
