Announcing $1 Million for Newark Field Trips

The Community Foundation of New Jersey will join the Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation, the Victoria Foundation, and Newark Public Schools at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 5th at Central High School in Newark to the creation of the Pi Chubb Newark Field Trip Fund, a $1 million dollar endowment of Field Trip New Jersey named in honor of Percy “Pi” Chubb III.

The Pi Chubb Newark Field Trip will be open to all public, charter and non-profit private schools in Newark, grades pre-Kindergarten through 12. Schools may apply for funding to cover the transportation cost of field trips to help school children experience the arts, culture, history, nature, science, and college campuses.
