During this Funder Briefing, we’ll explore the broad range of services required to address domestic violence and how the work has evolved in New Jersey to create greater, long-term impact.

Nonprofit leaders from throughout the state will provide a comprehensive overview of domestic violence, why it occurs, and misconceptions that hinder support and intervention. Speakers will discuss different components of services, effective practice models and policies, and potential barriers to and gaps in services.

Specific topics we’ll dive into during the program include:

  • Impact of Trauma
  • Children’s Services
  • Economic empowerment (including housing, emergency shelter, transitional, and affordable permanent housing)
  • Prevention and outreach to underserved communities
  • Equity & Justice
  • Criminal Justice and the Family Justice Center (FJC) model
  • Legal Services

Together, we’ll consider best practices that help heal and prevent future violence. Register now to learn how philanthropy can support the full scale of services needed to end domestic violence in New Jersey.
