One of the Community Foundation’s newest funds, Friends of Jockey Hollow, is working to raise funds for an ambitious 2023. Two local philanthropic families, the Wentworths and the Kirbys, established the fund to protect, preserve, and promote the Jockey Hollow section of the Morristown National Historical Park.
Jockey Hollow is renowned for its environmental quality, recreational value, and historic significance which keeps New Jersey’s rich cultural heritage alive for the enjoyment of current and future generations of visitors.
The current fundraising campaign has as its goal implementing initiatives that will continue to enrich the visiting experience, from the park’s natural features to its visitor-friendly informational spots.
