GreenFaith Hosting April 29th Event on Energy Services Program

April 4, 2014

Our friends at GreenFaith are hosting a worthwhile discussion on Tuesday, April 29th about the Energy Services Program we are helping support (click here for more information on the program).  The luncheon discussion will take place at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 558 Coutny Road 504/Ratzer Road in Wayne from 12:00 to 1:30pm.

At the event, attendees will learn how their faith communities or nonprofit organizations can save energy, save money, and reduce their carbon footprints.  To date, more than 50 institutions from across New Jersey are workign with GreenFaith as part of the Energy Services Program.  Funding is available for a total of 100 organizations in 2014-2015, so there is still time to apply.

Those attending the lunch will learn how the Energy Services Program will:

  • Provide basic Energy Management training enabling many facilities to cut their energy use and costs by 10%
  • Connect you with state and utility incentive programs that will pay for 70% of the cost of energy efficient lighting, heating and cooling equipment
  • Assess your facility’s suitability for a zero capital-cost solar installation which will save you thousands over the system’s life
  • Provide you with a quote for a third-party electric supply from renewable sources at a discount to standard utility rates.

Reservations are required for the lunch; space is capped at 30 attendees.  To reserve your spot, e-mail Anne Rahikainen, Energy Services Program Director, at arahikainen@greenfaith.org.
