Trafficking Update: Good News from Arizona

February 25, 2015

Last month we told you about the work the Community Foundation and its fundholders have supported and directly participated in to eliminate the scourge of human trafficking in New Jersey.

This month, we’re pleased to share good news from our friends in Arizona, which hosted this year’s Super Bowl.

According to Tucson News Now:

Sixteen teenagers ranging in age from 13 to 17 were recovered by law enforcement in a crackdown on child trafficking surrounding the Super Bowl in Phoenix, Arizona in February. Many of them were high school students reported missing by their families. Michael Osborne of the FBI’s Violent Crimes Against Children Unit said, “it is the most significant operation we’ve had around a big event. This is the most recoveries we’ve had at one time.”
