When our collective work matters most

Like you, we are following news of the COVID-19 virus very closely and paying particular attention to the guidance from the CDC and authorities here in New Jersey.

We want you to be aware that there may be small delays in the processing of your grant recommendations. Please give us as much notice as possible about upcoming grants. Our online donor platform, DonorFirst, remains the best, most efficient way for you to recommend grants. If you need help gaining access, please contact Dayana Toledo-Mendoza at dtmendoza@cfnj.org.

Of course, COVID-19 presents unique challenges to our communities’ nonprofit organizations and the vulnerable populations they serve. In addition to health risks, there are serious economic consequences for those who depend on hourly work, or need childcare assistance, or are without paid sick days. Nonprofit organizations, too, are seeing revenue losses as the Spring events and galas that might otherwise boost their resources are being canceled. We encourage you to continue to support the nonprofits organizations you work with that are providing critical assistance where it’s needed most. Of course, many of you have organizations you are deeply committed to, but we are always happy to offer ideas and suggestions.

Finally, if you would like to discuss the investment performance of your fund in this turbulent period, please contact us at any time.

Thank you for being part of the solution in our communities. Times like these are when our collective work matters most.
