Impact 100 Garden State is a simple concept: one woman, one donation, one vote. Women work together to provide transformative grants to local non-profits in Morris, Passaic, Somerset, Sussex, and Union counties. Each member donates $1000 a year and together they make the impact of a $100,000 donation. Over six years since Impact 100 Garden State was founded, the organization has grown from 135 members to 300 members, and during that time provided over $1.35 million in grant money to 13 local non-profits.
These non-profits have used their grant money to run a therapeutic arts program to veterans, grown tens of thousands of pounds of fresh product to hungry families, supported GED programs for impoverished women and youth, provide teacher coaching and education programs for bilingual and low income families and services to foster children who age-out, set up a Healthy Food Choice Mobile Pantry Program for the food insecure, started a free weekly music program for Paterson children, purchased and equipped an RV that takes social services and goods “on the road”, purchased emergency housing and case management, and financial empowerment programs and loans for those without credit.
In addition to providing vetted non-profits with transformational grants, Impact 100 Garden State members are offered the opportunity to meet and work with a dynamic group of women volunteers who share a deep passion and commitment to serving others.
Impact 100 Garden State is actively seeking women to join and become members of this all-volunteer organization. Its membership drive runs through March 31, 2019. Numerous membership information gatherings and events will be held throughout the upcoming months including:
