Employee Crisis Fund

  • American Water
American Water employees work hard every day to provide safe, clean, reliable water and wastewater services to customers. Occasionally, one of our own employees is impacted by an unforeseen situation, such as a natural disaster or family emergency.

To assist in providing an effective and sustainable way to support employees during times of need, the American Water Charitable Foundation (AWCF) is pleased to offer the American Water Employee Crisis Fund. The program is funded by AWCF and employee donations and administered by CFNJ, which, in its sole discretion, will review applications and determine incident eligibility and award amount.

Contact CFNJ at 973.267.5105 with any questions regarding the application process.

  • Ports America
The Ports America Employee Crisis Fund provides short-term, emergency support for basic necessities to employees or eligible dependents who are experiencing a financial hardship resulting from a sudden, severe, overwhelming, and unexpected event that is beyond their control. The event also results in significant pressure on the family’s financial resources.

CFNJ reviews each application on a case-by-case basis and, in its sole discretion, determines incident eligibility and award amount. The Community Foundation staff is available to assist all applicants in this process.
