Philanthropy should be easy and convenient, so the Community Foundation of New Jersey (CFNJ) provides a full range of support to individuals who open a fund — delivering about 8,000 grants on their behalf annually.

• Donor Advised Funds
  This popular and flexible fund type will allow you to achieve the most favorable tax treatment and create lasting change in communities.

• Legacy Funds
  With this fund type, you entrust us to fulfill your legacy and ensure that it aligns with your philanthropic intent.

• Scholarship Funds
  We offer a range of scholarship fund options that enable students to succeed, including traditional scholarships or customized awards for alternative scholarships.

• Designated Agency Funds
  If you have a focused commitment to an organization, you may choose to permanently support it through a designated agency fund. CFNJ’s stewardship guarantees that the good works you value will continue, even if the original organization ceases to exist.

• Employee Crisis Funds
  We work with companies that want to provide short-term, emergency support to employees or eligible dependents who are experiencing a financial hardship resulting from severe, overwhelming, and unexpected events.
