It’s simple, really.
We’re asking people to give to a fund that in just two years has helped young girls escape human trafficking, put an end to solitary confinement for New Jersey’s incarcerated kids, and helped 100,000 children from low-income families start the school day with a nutritious breakfast.
It’s our Changemaker Fund. And its first, second, and third priorities are making real, lasting, and inspiring change.
Here’s how it works.
The Community Foundation of New Jersey zeroes in on some of our state’s toughest and most overlooked challenges, then puts in the hard work to find the most promising interventions. We do the research, the due diligence, the peer review. We talk to trusted partners on the ground and we do our own site visits. When we’re confident an intervention can drive change, we put our own dollars behind it.
And then we ask New Jerseyans to join us. Those who support this important work – we call them Changemakers – receive detailed briefings on the impact of their gifts and are encouraged to share feedback and ask questions. You can be as involved as you like and see up close how New Jersey’s foundations, nonprofits, and volunteers come together to create change.
You’ll get a very nice Thank You letter and an immediate tax deduction. But you’ll also earn the right to say that you solved one of New Jersey’s toughest problems.
On Giving Tuesday, don’t just give. Become a Changemaker.
