What once were standard white hallways are now beautiful murals at the John Hill School in Boonton, thanks to the hard work of students and a grant from the Community Foundation’s Morris County Committee.
More than 600 students, teachers, staff, and other community members worked together to create the mural featuring uplifting words and artwork. Guiding the creation was teaching artist Caren Frost Olmsted.
A special thank you is featured in the mural, where CFNJ and other donors, such as Morris Arts and the PTA, are recognized.
Students now walk the halls knowing that they contributed to the original artwork, featuring inspirational quotes and colorful paintings. The mural reminds the students to live positively with quotes such as “be the change you wish to see in the world” and “we rise by lifting others”.
