The Community Foundation of New Jersey’s (CFNJ) Board of Trustees today congratulated Hans Dekker, CFNJ’s president, for being named by Inside Jersey Magazine as one of the “most influential people in New Jersey.”
A total of 106 New Jerseyans are on the list of influencers, which the magazine has dubbed, “Inside Jersey’s 100+ Club.” The names of influencers are being released throughout the week of May 19th.
Dekker, who is one of five individuals included in the philanthropy category, is described by the magazine as, “a behind-the-scenes force, […] researcher, collaborator and convener who directs the CFNJ’s work to address everything from hurricane recovery to human trafficking, the prevention of gun violence to the nurturing of local media.”
“Hans’s inclusion on this list is not only well deserved,” explained Tom Uhlman, Chairman of CFNJ’s Board of Trustees, “but also a recognition of his hard work and that of the entire Foundation in staying ahead of critical issues facing New Jersey, identifying effective interventions, and leveraging the goodwill of donors and other partners to make meaningful differences. The entire Board joins me in congratulating Hans for his continued leadership.”
Dekker has served as president of CFNJ since 2003, over which time CFNJ’s funds have granted more than $225 million to charitable causes and organizations.
