Expanding access to quality jobs and eliminating barriers to employment

Community Foundation of New Jersey in partnership with the Community Foundation of South Jersey is issuing a Request for Proposals (RFP) to support nonprofit, community-based organizations across New Jersey that help youth aged 16-26 gain a more economically equitable future through workforce training and job placement. CFNJ and CFSJ invite proposals from community-based organizations that promote employment opportunities and support long-term job retention and career advancement for young people aged 16-26 years old.

The Foundation will place an emphasis on age-appropriate workforce readiness programming to expand job training and workforce pathways for youth, including skills development, career exploration, job readiness and certifications.

CFNJ/CFSJ will strongly consider programs with the following elements in the review process:

  • Structured models that focus on job-readiness and hard-skill, sector-specific training for in-demand industries, career and wage progression opportunities.
  • Dual-objective program models that re-engage disconnected young adults ages (16-26) with both education and employment services that prepare them for job success and careers.
  • Demonstrated employer relationships and the use of labor-market data to drive placements, and customized retention services.

Collaborative grants are welcome.

*Up to two, $100,000 grants will be awarded*

Deadline: September 30, 2022
