Students from North Main Street School in Pleasantville recently visited the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island where they toured the Museum of Immigration.
“Thank you for funding our transportation for our field trip to Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty,” wrote one student. “Our favorite part was climbing the Statue of Liberty, also picking up the phone to hear about the past of immigration.”
This field trip was made possible with a grant from Field Trip New Jersey, which takes students out of the classroom and into new places that awaken, hush, awe, enrich, or otherwise positively change their lives.
