The Rise & Fly Gala will honor the Community Foundation of New Jersey and other funders, partner nonprofits, and volunteers who have dedicated significant resources and time to helping individuals who are aging out of New Jersey’s child welfare system.
Roots & Wings is client-centered, providing nurturing support, safe housing, educational support and practical life skills to young adults who have aged out of the child welfare system. Roots & Wings provides a foundation for this high-risk population of disadvantaged young adults on which they can build – replacing dependency with self-sufficiency.
Speakers will include June Toth, Chair of the Roots & Wings Board; Emily Marchese, Executive Director of Roots & Wings; and Hans Dekker, President of the Community Foundation of New Jersey.
