Somerset Hills Community Health Foundation Announces Funding Opportunity

December 20, 2023

The Somerset Hills Community Health Foundation (SHCHF) today announced a funding opportunity for projects and programs that promote healthier individuals and communities in Morris and Somerset counties in New Jersey.

Grants will be awarded to non-profit organizations whose proposals address one or more of the following Foundation priorities:

  • Enable access to health care
  • Foster independent living at an appropriate level based on the individual’s health situation
  • Support healthcare worker availability and employment

The grant application, additional information on Foundation priorities, and a list of past grant recipients are available at www.cfnj.org/somersethills.

Established in 2019, the Somerset Hills Community Health Foundation is a donor advised fund at the Community Foundation of New Jersey (CFNJ).

“Improving health in Morris and Somerset counties is our mission and our passion, so we are excited to once again offer this grant cycle,” said Lesley Hetherington, SHCHF’s Board Chair. “As important, we look forward to deepening existing relationships and creating new ones with non-profit organizations doing important work in these communities.”

SHCHF exclusively funds programs that serve Morris and Somerset counties in New Jersey. If a program serves multiple counties, the Foundation requests that applicants have the capacity to carve out and specifically track the services provided in these two counties.

Organizations interested in submitting a proposal for consideration may contact Lydia Gracey at (973) 267-5533 or lgracey@cfnj.org.
