Kimberly Banks MacKay

Kimberly Banks MacKay serves as Senior Vice President General Counsel and Corporate Secretary for West Pharmaceuticals, Inc. She was previously SVP and Counsel of the Segal Group.

Prior to these positions, MacKay served in roles of increasing responsibility at Novartis, including U.S. Head, Legal and Compliance for Novartis Business Services, Deputy Compliance Officer for Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corporation (“NPC”), and Lead Legal Counsel for one of its business units. Before joining NPC, MacKay practiced securities law at MetLife, Lucent Technologies and Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy, held a Federal clerkship and spent several years in commercial banking.

MacKay was selected as NJBIZ’s 2017 General Counsel of the Year – Public Company, and honored in Washington D.C. by Blackdoctor.org as one of the “Top Blacks in Healthcare”. She has also received the YWCA Tribute to Women and Industry (TWIN) Award and the Trailblazer Award from the Association of Black Women Lawyers of New Jersey.

MacKay serves on the Board of Directors of the NJ Chapter of the Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC). She is a former member of the Board of Trustees of Rutgers University, Office of Attorney Ethics (District V-B), and Essex County CASA. MacKay is also an active member of the National Bar Association and the Links, Inc. Serving as a mentor to many across the country, she has demonstrated a specific commitment to mentoring female and minority attorneys.

MacKay received an A.B. in Economics from Princeton University and a J.D. from Rutgers University School of Law.
